It’s interesting how both of us were made
to feel ashamed of how we sang and the
lasting effect it has had.
I often think of the saying ‘sticks and stones may
break my bones but words will never hurt me ‘ and
what absolute nonsense it is. Words are the most
powerful and we all have the ability to use words
that heal or harm, but we also all have the ability,
given the right information and support, to
challenge the harmful words and the hurt they
cause and to choose our own words, to make our
own destiny.
I love that, it’s a lovely way to end an
