TRAUMA BONDING
In May 2021, for CCChat Issue 26, I interviewed
Dr Karen Williams, a PTSD psychiatrist who runs Australia9s first
women9s only, stand-alone trauma-informed mental health facility.
We discussed 88Trauma Bonding9 which is a term I have found
useful to explain to victim/survivors why it can be difficult to sever
the emotional bond to the person abusing them.
It was such a great interview, I have been included in this issue.
