Since then there have been 7
national conferences, many
smaller events and the birth
of CCChat in 2017.
In 2025, CCChat is taking a
new direction with a new
website and a new resolve: to
look at the gaps and at why
coercive control still isn’t
being understood, identified
or evidenced nearly 10 years
after it was made a crime.
In order to do this, CCChat
will be launching a resource
that better helps us
understand where an
unhealthy relationship
becomes an abusive one, the
victim perspective of being
subjected to this, but also look
at how people using harmful
behaviours can learn better
strategies.
